A 'Priceless' kind of day

I was asked a few weeks ago, if I could make a 'Guestbook' for an 18th birthday party?
I have only ever made cards or invitations, so this, for me was un chartered territory ! However, I said I would (I love a challenge)

The colour request was purple and white, with a possible butterfly theme.

Off I toddle to my craft room - bedroom by night - and pulled out everything I could find that was purple and anything that resembled a butterfly, oh dear !! Another night on the couch for me then !

Over the next few weeks I got my ideas together, tested out my new Spellbinders to find something suitable for the front decoration and gradually pulled it all together. A few costly mistakes were made along the way but that's how I learn !

I finally took the finished book along to its new owner this morning. I don't normally get to see the people that I make the cards for, so this was a big 1st for me and my anxiety was running at an all time high.

As I handed it over quite gingerly, the faces of both Sophie and her mum were PRICELESS - that's what makes it all worthwhile and that's why I craft :) xx
